What this is
Price Ledger measures the prices of games, PC hardware and exchange rates every day, ourselves, keeps them as time series, and writes a post only when something actually moves. Every number in every post comes from that observation log. We do not copy other sites and we do not write from memory.
How we measure
- Store pages and public rate feeds are read on a fixed schedule, the same way each time.
- Each item gets its own series. A post is considered only when an item has enough observations to say something about it.
- An item becomes a post when its current price departs clearly from its own recent median — not because a store calls it a sale.
That is why every post shows how many times and when we measured. "Measured 9×" means we checked that item nine times, and the nine raw values are published with the post as a JSON file anyone can inspect.
How posts are made
Drafts are generated from the observation data with software assistance, but every post is reviewed and approved by a person before it is published. Before review, automated checks confirm:
- every number in the text exists in our log or a cited source
- the item has enough observations (games: 3+, exchange rates: 7+)
- nothing violates advertising policy or advertising law
- the post does not duplicate an existing one
A draft that fails is not published. Review and approval records are kept.
Expired deals
Sales end. We do not delete the post; we mark it ended, remove it from search indexes, and keep the observed prices as a record.
Advertising and affiliate links
This site is funded by advertising and affiliate commissions.
- Posts may contain affiliate links (for example to Green Man Gaming, Fanatical, Amazon, or Wise). Where they do, the post says so, and Amazon links carry the sentence: "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases."
- Ads are served by Google AdSense and similar networks.
- Affiliate relationships never decide what we write about or what price we report. Posts are triggered by movement in the observation data only.
